PURCHASING SUPERVISOR

Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs the daily workflow and schedules of the department, coordinating staff ​involved in purchasing – construction materials, fresh and dry goods, office products ​and supplies, field materials and supplies, etc.


• Distribute all necessary purchasing information using Asana to all involved parties, ​including Vendors and employees.


• Review and evaluate purchase requests from WhatsApp group for accuracy and ​completeness and distribute same through Asana.


• Ensure the purchase task is completed, and all necessary records are updated.


• Ensure all purchase deadlines are met.


• Responsible for logistical planning and execution for pickup and deliveries in and ​around Georgetown.


• Ensure that Department software- Asana is updated with all the operational ​information about the Purchase Task assigned to each staff member within the ​department.


• Conducts Purchasing Department staff performance evaluations that are timely and ​constructive.


• Drafts and reviews, purchase queries for customers, and ensures timely responses to ​meet deadlines.





Qualification


• At least 5 subjects CSEC, grade twos and threes minimum. Maths and ​English passes a MUST

• Any other certificates would be an asset but are not a prerequisite.


Experience

• Two years of proven experience in Purchasing or Sales at a Supervisory ​Level

Or

• 5 years relevant experience.

  • Must have advanced computer knowledge.
